Modern Tyres Hold Annual Conference at Clontarf Castle
At their annual conference held at the Clontarf Castle hotel in Dublin at the weekend the company announced that they were looking forward to further growth in 2017.
Their event brings all their branch managers across Ireland together along with their admin team from Newry and Enniskillen. Their day involved several workshops which included presentations from Autogem and Alcoa. The company which celebrated its 50th anniversary back in 2015 used the fabulous conference facilities at the Clontarf Castle to set out their plans for 2017.
The highlight of the event is the presentation of the Modern Cup to the best performing depot which was presented to Tommy Duggan from their branch in Galway who had a fantastic year. Runners up were the team from Bachelors Walk in Lisburn and in third place were the lads from Carrigtwohill. Following the presentation of the cup everyone enjoyed the entertainment from The Hit Machine drummers.
The family-run business started by Jimmy Byrne in 1965 with one tyre depot has grown to become Ireland’s largest independent tyre retailers with 41 branches Nationwide. They were named Tyre Retailer of the Year 2017, at the Irish Auto Trade Awards in Dublin before Christmas.
