Modern Tyres and Antrim Autoparts raise £553 for Helping Hands
This summer Modern Tyres Ballyclare depot manager Gerry Heaney along with neighbouring Antrim Autoparts joined forces to raise Money for Helping Hands in Belfast.
The task was a simple one, hold a car meet at Modern Tyres Ballyclare and try to raise some money for the Helping Hands charity for sick children. What Gerry from Modern Tyres and Andy from Antrim Autoparts didn’t expect was the turnout. It was huge!
The event attracted vintage cars, classic cars, sports cars, iconic era cars and modern custom cars as well as import models from the U.S.A. and Japan. Nearly 60 cars and drivers took part in the Cars & Coffee afternoon with another 100+ visitors.
Gerry and Andy have taken note of the success of the Coffee & Cars event which raised an impressive £553 and are hoping to have another charity fundraiser next year.
Helping Hands Charity to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children aims to provide the best equipment, fund research, education and support the immediate needs of sick children and their parents at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
A big thanks goes out to everyone involved and all the visitors from the day. Hopefully see you again next year.
