Fisher & Noble in Pole Position heading to the final round
Alastair Fisher & Gordon Noble in a Ford Fiesta R5 have moved into the lead of the Clonakilty Blackpudding Irish Tarmac Championship with one round to go.
Second place overall behind rally winner Elfyn Evans on the John Mulholland Motors Ulster Rally was enough to move them into the championship lead with just the AceSigns Cork 20 International Rally remaining. Keith Cronin & Mikie Galvin had to settle for fifth overall after a late gearbox problem cost them road penalties but they still move into second in the championship which now appears to be a straight shootout between Cronin and Fisher.
Seventh place was enough to see Josh Moffett & John Rowan move into third overall in the championship as the Monaghan driver keeps his series hopes alive. A full report can be found on http://www.irishtarmac.com/fisher-takes-championship-lead-after-penultimate-round/
